Well, it seems that I owe you posts again. It didn't have enought time this sunday and wednesday but here I go. Double post. A song an a review from Evanescence's self-titled new album, and hopefully some magazine will hire me as their reviewer.
Let's take off with the review.
The album saw the lights this monday. And what do i think of it? Well, i don't think it was worth the wait at all. i mean, it's not bad, but it isn't their best. I'd rather listen to The Open Door over and over again. Now, that's Evanescence.
Anyways, Amy Lee have always stated that she doesn't like to do the same thing over an over again. And that's good, I mean, if they have followed the Fallen-formula instead of releasing The Open Door they would have lost at least a fan (me hahaha). Evolution is always great. Even though it doesn't work for some bands.
The thing that i don't like the most about it is the lack of guitars. I mean, they DO have guitars, but... Not as the previous ones. They went back to the Fallen-era guitars, meaning lots of power chords. i just don't like the lack of emotion in guitars. It sounds less metal. You know, they were never a pure metal band, but they had their moments specially in The Open Door (I'm sorry but i love that album). Amy Lee still has an awesome voice that comes out in every second, and her magical piano is alwais with her.
I'm tired already, let's say that out of 10, I give it a 7.5.

Now the metal stuff. SLAYER! The Unit 731 was a covert bio-chemical warfare research and development unit of the Imperial Japanese Army during the second sino-japanese war and the World War II. It was also responsible for the most awful war crimes commited by the Japanese. But enough history...

Slayer - Unit 731

I am the last of the dying insane
You would scream at the things I've done
Knowing that the dead still see
My blood it runs like mercury

Your last breath the sword comes down
She dies first speaking death to me
Philosophy, the vision, the view within
Duty, science, abstract cruelty

[Chorus:]
What are your final thoughts?
Do you want to kill me or die in shame?
From my point of view
Justified action, the enemy burns

The fun of massacre in the brain
Bioweapons and I are the same
Look at their face, hatred in their blood
Pile up the dead, my humanity

X-rays burn all that you can see
Nobody knows what a body can stand
Skulls on fire yet mercy is worse
You seek only your pleasure in death

[Chorus]

Bacterial target, eyes exploding
Melting flesh through your mind
Become your madness insanity wins
Infant's flesh on the walls
Testing limits threshold of pain
Ripping out teeth to observe
I want blood

[Lead: Hanneman]
[Lead: King]

[x4]
Knowing now the dead still see
My blood it runs like mercury

Human brain experiment
On prisoners open skull
Vivisection, live dissection
Repulsing to the core

[Chorus]

Fuckin' burns

Pathogens seek horrible end
Churning factories of death
Crematoriums see your crime
You will see me in hell

Today one of the most iconic characters of modern technology passed away.
Being 56 and victim of cancer Steve Jobs lost this battle. The geek world is shocked by such a loss, and we will surely miss him.

Quoting someone from MA:
THEY TOOK OUR JOBS!!!

I've got nothing more to say than:
Rest in peace Steve.

Bye-bye Steve Jobs

This is just perfect for today.
Monumento a los Caídos - Leprosy

Ventanas llorando
Enmudecidas
Paredes y piedras
Enrojecidas
Son ciegos testigos de
La historia de Tlatelolco
Ni lavando las paredes
Ni lavando todo el patio
Se puede borrar la sangre
De todo un estudiantado
Soldados vomitando ráfagas
Sobre una multitud indefensa
Muriendo en una matanza
Fría y calculada
Con la sangre derramada
Pintaremos el pasado
De una vergonzosa historia
De Tlatelolco enlutado

Genocidio vergonzoso
Un recuerdo frio y crudo
2 de octubre ennegrecido
Monumentos a los caídos
En Tlatelolco
No se pueden borrar
El pasado
De un recuerdo
Tan amargo
Gritaremos a los vientos
Monumentos a los caídos
Ni lavando las paredes
Ni lavando todo el patio
Se puede borrar la sangre
De todos los insurgentes.

Let's make up for what I missed yesterday as schools keeps me bussy lately hahaha. Anyway, I have forgotten how to do this so I will just put the damned song. From the Sweet Vengeance album here comes Nightrage

Nightrage - Circle of Pain

I thought you were my friend, i was trying to find myself in pieces so lonely and desperate

You hurt me, i'm a fool and now i understand
dark person punished my soul so bad.

You can't hurt me no more, you'll never understand
don't look at me, i pay for my mistakes

Pre-Chorus:
Liar, hypocrite, evil,Self Destructive, So full of Jealously
Don't invade my dreams, just walk away

Chorus
In this eerie night i will fly, i will dance in the circle of pain.
Walking in this unknown empty land
so confused for what's wrong or right

Searching for my inner power

Chorus

I thought you were my friend, in pieces so lonely and desperate and now i understand you punished my soul so bad

You can't hurt me no more, you'll never understand
don't look at me, i pay for my mistakes

Pre-Chorus
---
And as a bonus some news! Evanescence new album will be released next month and they already released their first single:

Pretty cool, huh? It's not what I like from them but it's pretty interesting. Let's see what they will bring for us. Well see you next wednesday!!!

So I decided to finally make a change (and kill myself... If you didn't get that obviously you're not into Depressive Black Metal... hahaha) and update this blog at least twice a week... At least that's the plan. I have nothing to say except that there are new seasons of your favorite series coming up, sytarting with the all-time favorite (after Friends) The Big Bang Theory.

The 4th season had onbe of the most intense finales, after Leonard found out Priya was movng back to India, Bernadette got her Ph.D and a better job that Howard which lead to a lot of trouble and Raj... Raj did unspeakble things with Penny... The thing was left there for a long time but finally things will be settled. Don't forget it, September 22nd. Next week, go and download it on the internet.

The other thing is Two and a Half Men, which after all the trouble with Charlie Sheen had to find a new man to do his job: Ashton Kutcher. Let's see how things go with him on Monday, September 19th.

That's all friends and remember that from now on this blog will be updated every Wednesday and every Sunday. So kee an eye on us.

Do you smoke? Would you mind telling me why do you smoke?

Cigarrettes are probably the most common ways humans consume tobbaco, a plant from South America. And probably one of the most consumed drugs.

Did you also know that it causes thousands of deaths around the world besides cancer, emphysema, lung damage, teeth damage, and general damage to the body?

It contains toxic stuff like carbon monoxide, arsenic and tar, stuff that's easily found in gases from cars, poison and hydrocarbons.

Do you still want to smoke? Please keep in mind these non-written rules about it:

  • If you are going to smoke around others sk them if they're Ok with it. Otherwise do it some palce else, or don't do it.
  • Do not smoke in closed spaces.
  • You are allowed to throw ashes into the ground but NEVER the cigarrette butt.
  • Do not smoke in places you could start a fire, and never throw a still burning cigarrette butt into a thrash can.
And please, if you ever read this sign RESPECT IT. There are still thousands of us who DON'T WANT TO DIE.

You might as well go and eat tar and just fucking die.

Smoke-addicts.

I have always believed absolutely nothing Televisa does, be it "tienes el valor o te vale" or tolerance, respect and only God knows how many lies more. But they just messed up with a group that won't let that pass. Do you remember when people used to beat emo kids up? This is worst.

Apparently during one more of their soap operas people from Televisa decided once more it was a great idea to raise their rating to take advantage of things they don't even know about. And it isn't just some random show, it's probably the most "right" (as in right, the political ideology) show Televisa has ever made. We all know Mexico is a catholic nation and since Fox became president Juárez has been unable to rest in his grave.

Do you know whici one already? The freaking rose of Guadalupe.

Enough complains for today, just remember to add this to all of your websites:

And do not tune any of Televisa's channels, just to piss them off.

Another one from Televisa.

It is well known that the discrimination issue in Mexico is a never ending story. You might as well be a woman, a man, a cat, a dog, gay, transexual, alien, metalhead... You could almost feel being discriminated for being a human being!!!

Anyway, I've been looking for a job, you know? To take care of the chibi that's on the way, and guess what? I haven't found one, well actually I found many but none of them were willing to hire me due to my long hair.

Chattin with the greatest Chibi we said it had something to do with private companies and their "We reserve the right of admission" policy. It is hard to say that it is a discriminatory issue as most of the private companies have their own ideologies, policies, etc etc. but it really looks like it is.

I was asking in a pet shop (of horrors!!! Muahaha!!!) for a job, and the manager said to me: "We would have to ask you to cut your hair, and lose your ear piercings". While the woman had long hair and two ear piercings in each lobe. I just nicely said "Well, thanks anyway" and left but I surely wanted to yell: "Keep your fucking job... And lose the ear piercings too." That's where it looked like I was being discriminated, damn it! If I'm not allowed to wear ear piercings then nobody else should!

People of the worl, unite! And let's stop discrimination against men with long hair at work!

There is even a Facebook group if someone's interested hahaha.

Is this discrimination?

Well, I took Chibi-sama to the tour, you know, go up the hill and enjoy things like cuajinicuiles, go to planetarium and the observatory... And it turns put that not anymore!

For some dfisgusting reason the goverment of "change" decided it was no longer a good idea to let people go there... Why? Just because!

I hope to take up this blog again, I hope so...
In the meantime let's do one of the classic sections of this blog, the song of the week.
This time it's Artillery's chance, this Denmark thrash metal band, one of the pioneers and the favorite ones that have been around for almost 30 years.
It was 2009 when they released a modern thrash album that I really enjoy: When Death Comes, and the third song from that thing is:

10,000 Devils

And the uncut-version-made-for-a-music-video hahaha:

The struggle you keep within
Pleading not guilty in a world of sin
The voices inside your head
Forever you're chained to the living dead

When the night takes over
And the walls are closing in
You are back in your dirty hole

The dialog you keep within
Possessed by the world of original sin
The empty feeling inside
Forever in debt to the lie of lies

And it feels like the world is ending
And your mind is a torture chamber
It feels like the world is crumbeling
And you life is like a train wreck
( And your life is like a screaming,
Bloody, living train wreck)

10.000 devils are pulling you under
10.000 devils are up from below
10.000 devils the spell you are under
10.000 devils screaming words you don't know

The innocence you hide within
Soul searching demon ohhhh! the place you've been
The ice cold feeling inside
Your mind is a storm only waiting to die
--
Check the whole disc it's awesome. Give the new vocalist a chance, I know we all miss Flemming Rönsdorf, but there's nothing we can do so... :P

I'ts been a while since the last recoomendation post I wrote, I have very few things to do :P

I'm pretty sure you know some of the work by The Black Dahlia Murder, this Melodic Death Metal band from Michigan. Since they released Nocturnal these guys have been into the pioneer metal scene that we all enjoy, starting to write all those riff that make us bang our fucking heads.

Perhaps it could be the influence from Arsis' guitar player Ryan Knight who joined the band around that time, who knows? And who cares? As long as they keep writing stuff such as Nocturnal, Deflorate and now...

Ritual!

It seems like these guys are trying really hard to stay on the top, and probably becasue it wasn't easy at all to get there. Well, let's stop talking about them and let's talk about this! Their recent material, Ritual, another masterpiece and probably their longest album up to date. Not that there is something wrong with that bu you can hear the improvement in songwriting.

Since Moonlight Equilibrium came out as a preview for what would came many of us were shocked and hoping that the rest of the album sounded just as good as this. Check it out to know what I'm talking about.

Pretty cool, huh? Anyway, the album continues like this, interesting lyrics...
Well, I feel lazy, I'm wet due to this stupid rain so I'll just tell you want songs to listen:
Moonlight Equilibrium, On Stirring Seas of Salted Blood, Carbonized in Cruciform.

Taken (and translated) from El Universal

"Stacey and many others came to this position through the prophecies of Harold Camping, a civil engineer who became a biblical prophet and predicted that the May 21st, 2011 would be the Day of Judgement"
A civil engineer who became a biblical prophet... Seriously? WTF is wrong with this world?

It's been a while since I posted in here for the last time. I hope to get back on track...
In the meanwhile let's metal it up!
A pretty weird Death Metal band from Canada, mixing Death Metal with Progressive Metal in a very interesting way...

Formed around 2001 and having released 2 albums they have gained respect from many with their style.
So, I present you a song from their latest album:

Augury - Brimstone Landscapes

Infant souls came to this world
Longing for given eyes
With a craving for marvels
Unbeknownst, the surprise to come
Exiled off heaven
All life lined for the final requiem
Exiled off heaven
Where in hell did they land?

Dreams echo in their vacant minds
Sentience fading to oblivion
Yield to the uncivilized
Those brimstone landscapes
Upward we shall fly
Exiled off heaven
All life lined for the final requiem
Exiled off heaven
Yes in hell they did land

Freeze the image in your minds
A gleeful dream amidst torments
Visualise lush over the waste
Memories, the only archives
Of a world evaporated
Global matricide, leeches drill her skin
Sorcerers' apprentices unleashed the pillage
They scatter for cover, yet the land's bare
They now lament about why this came upon them all

Palliative care for the Earth's infection
Who will dare build the ark?
Flying castle a man made cloud
We shall then sail the storms above

With the duty of seeding
These shores upon which we landed
Those once were mountains
(We're) bound to there sow life again
Let our sons have sons until all mind is forgotten again
Let fire resurrect, let everything be reborn

--------------

Very interesnting, and one from the songs where they mix more weird elements than in others.

Virgin Snatch - It's Time

The time is coming
It came to pass one fateful day
still remaining
I still see your skills
I have to dry my tears

The time was running
Why did you give no hint that day?
Did you loose the path?
Or did you go astray?

IF I COULD BREAK DOWN THESE FUCKING WALLS
SHOUT YOUR NAME AT HEAVEN'S GATE
CALLING YOU AND CHANGE THE FATE

The time is coming
Another pack of cigarettes
The smoke is running
But heaven forever
waits for those who're young

The time is running
I can't believe you will not be here alive
Waking up and falling asleep

EVERY BREATH CAN BE THE LAST
FORTHCOMING MEMORIES
OUR LIFE HAS GONE TOO FAST
STILL RUNNING. FOLLOWING

I CANNOT MAKE UP THE FIRE
I DON'T BELIEVE IN THE PARADISE
YOU ARE WANTED STILL ALIVE

Why cannot you shoulder the blame
The river meets the sea again
So don't ask me about tomorrow

Now there is nothing left to say.
You grow much stronger every day
The shadow still resembles you

---

Everything needed to said is already said...

I
Race of Abel, sleep, eat and drink;
God smiles on you complacently.

Race of Cain, crawl on your belly,
Die in the mire wretchedly.

Race of Abel, your sacrifice
Delights the nose of the Seraphim!

Race of Cain, will there ever be
An ending to your punishment?

Race of Abel, see your sowing
And your cattle thrive and flourish;

Race of Cain, your bowels
Howl with hunger like an old dog.

Race of Abel, warm your belly
At your patriarchal hearth;

Race of Cain, shiver with the cold
In your cavern, wretched jackal!

Race of Abel, love, pullulate!
Even your gold has progeny.

Race of Cain, with the burning heart,
Beware of those intense desires.

Race of Abel, you browse and grow
Like the insects of the forest!

Race of Cain, along the highways
Drag your destitute family.

II
Ah! race of Abel, your carcass
Will fertilize the steaming soil!

Race of Cain, your appointed task
Has not been adequately done;

Race of Abel, your disgrace is:
The sword is conquered by the pike!

Race of Cain, ascend to heaven,
And cast God down upon the earth!

It's Sunday again, time passes quickly, we are at the middle of the semester and almos a week away from the first holydays... Etc etc...
And it's also time for Death Metal!
From Poland comes this pioneer band of Death metal (and one of the firsts in Europe, or at least of the ones that reated the Death metal scene there if I recall correctly): Vader!

They've been on the scene for a while and a few years back they released their album Imnpressions in Blood that inclues among other things a cover from Slayer's Raining Blood. Well, it's not the song featured on this post but the track #4:

Helleluyah! (God is Dead)

Passing the empty house
I see the thing upon the Wall
Wooden sticks crossed together
And kneeling man talking to the effigy of steel...
God is Dead!!! Dead !!! Helleluyah!!!

Smell of burnt bodies
Slaughtered virgin lies dead without the face
Men staring at the skies
Singing lines and eating sand of waste...
God is Dead!!! Dead !!! Helleluyah!!!

Wandering the globe around
I saw no miracles nor wonders
Humanity so poisoned by their myths
Why none can see my wings?!
God is Dead!!! Dead !!! Helleluyah!!!

--------------------

With a pretty interesting videowith the horns and the wings... Hahaha kind of weird actually...

Enjoy!

Yesterday was Earth's Day and at CELE we we're doing this kind of murals (just for fun) that are going to be shown to the entire community... And here are the results:

I can't remember her name... Damn... Oh yeah, and I designed the bugs at the bottom... :P

Greening the desert? Really?

Solar energy is not the way to go...

White roofs? Really?

This actually sounds interesting...

Nuclear Fusion energy IS the way to go... =D
Well... That's pretty much it...

PT. II

But not for today! Walking in a Sam's Club I found this:

Holy Bread! Or Biblical Bread! Either way it is stupid... Or lame... I don't even have words for this...
But that's not all, in Chedraui the competition is strong:

So... Where the hell should I buy my milk?
Apparently "to cost less" now mess "to cost exactly the same". At least it wasn't more expensive... That would be just lame... What the hell is wrong with the world???

I was thinking of continue the title of the post with something like "... that changed my life" but that just sounds cheesy hahaha.
Anyway, today I will star a "new section" of the blog if you will, where I will post those artists unrelated to metal (at least to TRVE KVLT metal hahaha) that I like, and I don't really give a fuck if you don't.

Let's start with... Err... Evanescence! Yep, this pseudo-gothic-nü-metal rock band from Arkansas... Don't get me wrong, I love them it's just that I hate most of their fan base hahaha. And their style has always been difficult to tag.

Anyway, they started in 1995 formed by Ms. Amy Lee and Ben Moody (who now works with Avril Lafuckingvigne and this Evanescence reloades, We are the Fallen) playing rock, that eventually evolved into something you could call Gothic Rock. They released their first EP in 1998 which caught a lot of attention  (well, from local people at least) and later released their first LP: Origin.

Origin is the fucking way to go with this band. It's the album that gave birth to their "heavy" sound. It's the album where they developed most of the songs of Fallen... Yep, Fallen, the album that made them HUGE.

The golden couple...
They then signed with Wind-up (their current label) and before releasing Fallen they were on the Nintendo Fusion Tour... I remember the adds for that on my Club Nintendo magazine... Evanescence was the lead band back then... Then they hired John LeComp, Rocky Gray and Will Boyd... But when they released Fallen, the madness began. The fame, the changes... Ben Moody quit the band due to "creative differences" and was replaced with Terry Balsamo  and after that the future of the band was uncertain.

The band in its early days.
The Open Door was a major step forward in their career, Amy Lee (the genius behind this band) decided it was time to change the direction of  Evanescence... I liked it. It has more variety in sounds, it has no depressing lyrics (at least not as many as in Falen), it is the proof that music industry IS about talent.

Anyway, they have just entered the studio again and I can say that I'm looking forward to this. I hope they release a new album soon, and that Amy will surprise us again.

I'll finish this post with Lies, the best song Evanescence has written...

Just perfect...

Better late than never but I had so much stupid Calculus homework... Anyway, here I am posting the song of the week inspired by the Metro...
I also realized that I have never postes such an unknown band a this one:
They come from Taiwan performing this Black/Gothic Metal fusion that reminds us of Cradle of Filth. Yes, they are ChthoniC and from their album "Seediq Bale" the track #4:

Chthonic - Banished into Death

(Chinese part)

Clans destroyed, and broken,
Motherland ravaged
Survivors hunted to the last
Painful history recast

Exiled misery

(Chinese part)

War-lust unquenced, spew forth much ire
Victorious army gloats and plunders
Tragic history recurs

Fractured Homeland

(Chinese part)

Battle hath consumed the warriors
Those left behind merely flesh shells
Chuan Isle, new home of the banished
Ancestors wait for the laggard souls
-------

Anyway, a pretty interesting band from a pretty interesting country...
Have a nice week-beggining!

Here comes again that time of the week, you know? That time to chill out (or do your homework)...
Naah...  It's that Metal Day!

Let's get technical with our Death Metal. Wait, what? Technical? Death Metal? Can you even use those words in the same sentence? Wasn't Death Metal just about the noise? Well, it never was...

Well here they come, Arsis, with their album "We are the Nightmare". Enjoy.

Arsis - Overthrown.

Aside from the memories
This life and curse has failed us.
Dreams lost to the greyest light
Awoke screaming with bloodless eyes.

So end it now,
And see yourself,
So end it now,
This life has cursed us.

And like the night, where anger can survive
You and I will be walking a tightrope.

And like the night, where anger can survive,
You and I will be over, overthrown.

Every moment that came and went
That cursed and crushed our innocence.
And we all must realize
That no spells can save us.

And like the night, where anger can survive
You and I will be walking a tightrope.

And like the night, where anger can survive
You and I will be over, overthrown.

[Solo: Knight]

So end it now, and see yourself
So end it now, this world has cursed us
So end it now, and see yourself
So end it now, this world has cursed us

[Solo: Malone]

And like the night, where anger can survive
You and I will be walking a tightrope.

And like the night, where anger can survive
You and I will be over, overthrown.

------------------------------------

And well, that's it. Hahaha, I'm a lazy person.

132 years ago, one of the greatest minds of the history was borned. Let's celebrate by remember his words:

"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity."
Albert Einstein, physicist (1879-1955).

Happy Birthday Einstein!

Some old-school Thrash Metal for this weekend and to help ease my ribs pain from last weekend.
Anyway, I posted last year (in my other blog of course) this band from Ohio with their new album.

But let me tell you that the debut is one million times better. Yes, I'm talking about Vindicator.

So, why was the debut better?  Because their earlier sound was rawer and... Well, thrasher... And if you don't believe me check this out:

Vindicator - Fresh Outta Hell

On Mars, this is my punishment
I'm bored with guarding scientists
It's no fun because I live for War

Phobos calling out Distress
Deployed alone into this mess
Gateways free a Demonic Swarm

They're comin' Fresh outta Hell

I Stand knee deep in the dead
One man against hellish dead
If I fail, mankind is doomed

Blood-stained on the shores of hell
Enter the Inferno Realm
Possessed, thy flesh consumed

They're comin' Fresh outta Hell

Driven by the overwhelming evil in the air
Storming through the gates into the Cyber-Demon's lair
Falling into darkness, I'm blind to the attack
Crossing through the gateway, I'm never coming back

They're comin' Fresh outta Hell

------------------------------------------------

What do you think? Cool, right?

Remember when I said I wouldn't translate any posts? (Of course you do, it was like 5 minutes ago...)
well, this is one that I really liked, and want to share it with you guys.

It has been a while since Andriux asked me to do a review and I finally will do it! I just received my sponsored copy from Checkholocaust (lead guitar from Oaxacan Thrash Metal band Survival) of Steel Jaguar (Compilado 1). I'm so lucky because I got this for free!

And here it is:
Is this cool or what? I want a t-shirt!
The wait was long, but finally on January 11st it was released. And although you could already hear some demos from each band's myspace, it's nice to be able to play it out loud in my computer speakers, just as I write this.

The bands involved are:

At Libitum - Heavy Metal, with:

  • Darkness Warriors
  • Heavy Metal Night
  • Momentos sin Tiempo

Dr. Jekyll y Mr. Hyde - Thrash Metal, with:

  • Dr. Jekyll y Mr. Hyde
  • Guerrero
  • Zombie´s Thrash

Survival - Thrash Metal, with:

  • Viper Attack
  • Chainsaw Demon
  • Running Wild Pussy

Evil Blood - Thrash Metal, with:

  • Sangre del Mal
  • Evil Fucking Blood
  • Thrash Metal Assault Pt. 1

Black Tiger  - Heavy/Speed Metal. with:

  • Rock & Roll
  • Betrayer
Right now, there is a VERY limited number of copies and I don't really know if they are selling it or what, so I uploaded a copy of it so you can download it from Mediafire: The best Free File Hosting!

No password needed or anything and it was uploaded by me. As this is the first (well technically, the second) time I'm doing this I hope any of the bands won't sue me.

There you go. Mission Acomplished.

I just realized, there are too many old posts, so I won't translate any of them.

Yeah, sue me!

EDIT: Ok, maybe one or two, but not all of them!

WTF!

Hi there you freaks!
Here I will try to do an English version of my blog, for all you guys interested in whatever the fuck I come up with. Maybe I'll translate some of the already existing posts, maybe I won't, but who cares?

I hope my English is as good as I think it is, and you international people will understand my stupid/crazy ideas.

Enjoy!

Hello World!
